Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas has made a noteworthy prediction regarding the future of Ethereum (ETH) ETFs. He expects amended S-1 filings for Ethereum ETFs to be submitted today, possibly during the afternoon in the United States.
Once the filings are submitted, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will review them. The regulator is expected to communicate any necessary changes to the issuing companies, allowing them to take effect. This final approval is crucial for the launch of these ETFs.
Balchunas and his team maintain their forecast that Ethereum ETFs will be launched by July 2. Their prediction is based on an analysis of current market trends and the regulatory landscape.
Bitwise, a cryptocurrency investment firm, recently updated its registration form and revealed that Pantera Capital Management LP has expressed interest in purchasing up to $100 million in shares. Bitwise also announced a $2.5 million seed investment.
Last month, the SEC approved 19b-4 forms for eight Ethereum ETFs. However, the issuers still need their S-1 filings to be effective before they can commence trading.
