Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, has just announced the addition of six new altcoins to its platform. These include Bitcoin Cash (BCH), GAS, GameBuild (GAME2), NEO (NEO), Solana (SOL), and Thundercore (TT).
Despite its reputation for being selective in its altcoin listings, Upbit has decided to expand its offerings in response to an upcoming bill in South Korea that will impose new restrictions on cryptocurrency exchanges.
Following the announcement, the prices of the newly listed altcoins experienced a sudden surge. However, the overall cryptocurrency market is currently facing a downturn, which has prevented these altcoins from reaching their peak prices.
