Worldcoin (WLD), a prominent altcoin, is setting its sights on a country with economic challenges. They have announced new investments.
The project is gearing up to expand in Argentina, with additional funding allocated to grow operations and reach more Argentinian users.
According to an official blog post, the increased investment and expansion plan will establish Argentina as a key hub for Worldcoin in the region, contributing to the country’s technological and economic progress. As part of this initiative, Worldcoin is looking to hire over 50 skilled professionals including developers, operations specialists, software engineers, and data analysts.
Moreover, more than 50 Worldcoin locations are set to open in Argentina, including two experience stores in over 10 cities, during the summer months.
The blog post highlights that over a million Argentinians use the World App every month, the primary wallet supporting Worldcoin. Developed by the project’s contributing developer company, World App aims to enhance global economic access. It was the most downloaded app in the country on both the App Store and Google Play for several weeks in early 2024.
