Mark Cuban, the billionaire entrepreneur, recently shared his thoughts on how cryptocurrencies could impact the 2024 US presidential election, suggesting that former President Donald Trump might hold an edge over current President Joe Biden due to his views on crypto regulations.
Cuban emphasized the significance of cryptocurrencies in the forthcoming elections, particularly in light of President Biden’s alignment with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler.
Despite doubts about Biden’s and Trump’s comprehensive understanding of cryptocurrencies, Cuban highlighted that the support of crypto enthusiasts could play a pivotal role in distinguishing the candidates.

“I have repeatedly mentioned that Biden faces a choice between Gensler and crypto voters, which could impact his chances at the White House,” Cuban stated on the social media platform X. “As for the future appointee, nothing is certain, and I do not perceive it as such.”
Cuban criticized Gensler’s leadership, asserting that the SEC Chairman has not adequately shielded investors from scams and has made it exceedingly challenging for cryptocurrency companies to function. “Crypto voters will definitely make their voices heard in this election,” Cuban added.
