As optimism around Bitcoin and alternative cryptocurrencies grows, large investors known as whales are stocking up.
Lookonchain recently revealed that institutional investors and whales were acquiring the altcoin GMX.
In just the last two days, 6 new wallets were created, purchasing a total of $15.3 million worth of GMX.
“Whales and institutions are accumulating GMX, leading to a 24% increase in its price over the past 48 hours.
“A total of 344,502 GMX ($15.3 million) was withdrawn from Binance by 6 new wallets in the last two days.”
Following the recent surge, GMX reached $46, but is currently trading at $43.8.
Bitcoin whales are also in a saving mode, according to data from CryptoQuant, with long-term investors and whales buying significant amounts of BTC.
