South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has announced the listing of a new altcoin on its platform. Upbit, known for being one of the most trusted digital asset exchanges in the world, will list Cat in a Dog’s World (MEW) on the KRW market starting from 19:00 on October 21, 2024.
MEW is a memecoin that was launched on the Solana network in March 2024. The token’s concept revolves around a cat’s mission to save a world dominated by dogs. Although MEW does not have any inherent utility, it is expected to gain value through its community-driven ecosystem and potentially find new applications in the future.
Users who wish to deposit funds must ensure that they select the correct network (MEW-Solana) as transfers using unsupported networks will not be processed and may result in significant delays in the return of funds.
There are certain transaction restrictions in place for the listing. Buying orders will not be allowed during the first 5 minutes after the trade opens. Additionally, sell orders below 10% of the previous day’s closing price in the BTC market will be restricted for the first 5 minutes. Only limit orders will be accepted during the first hour of trading.
The previous day’s closing price in the BTC market for MEW was 0.00000013 BTC, equivalent to 12.21 KRW.
