Ripple Makes Exciting Announcement: Partnership and Investment Unveiled for XRP Community!
Ripple has just announced its new partnership and investment that will surely excite the XRP community. OpenEden, a tokenization platform, is set to launch tokenized US Treasury bills (TBILL) on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
The recent collaboration between XRP Ledger and OpenEden aims to offer tokenized US Treasury bonds, with Ripple investing $10 million in OpenEden’s TBILL tokens as part of a larger fund. This partnership will enable users to access Treasury bills backed by the Treasury Department in the form of TBILL tokens on XRPL.
Markus Infanger, RippleX Senior Vice President, highlighted the significance of this development, stating, “Tokenized U.S. Treasury bills demonstrate the potential of real-world assets to drive utility and create new opportunities on decentralized platforms.”
Jeremy Ng, co-founder of OpenEden, shared that users will have the ability to mint TBILL tokens using stablecoins, including the upcoming Ripple USD. To ensure security and compliance, all issuers of TBILL tokens under this partnership will adhere to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
