Bloomberg Expert Reveals Date for Commencement of Ethereum ETF Trading
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas has disclosed the anticipated start date for Ethereum Spot ETFs, a development eagerly awaited by the market. Balchunas, who has gained recognition in the cryptocurrency community for his expertise in ETFs, made the announcement on the social media platform X, stating that the SEC has finally responded to spot ETF application companies. The SEC has requested these companies to submit final S-1 forms and compensation information by Wednesday. Following this, the SEC expects the forms to be processed after the markets close on Monday, with trading commencing on Tuesday, July 23. Balchunas did caution that this information is contingent on there being no last-minute unforeseen issues.
Interestingly, Balchunas highlighted the irony that the estimated start date for Ethereum Spot ETF approvals, July 23, will coincide with the largest Bitcoin conference of the year.
Approval for ETH Spot ETFs was granted on May 23; however, the SEC delayed the approval of their S-1 forms due to their lack of readiness for trading.
