Solana (SOL) is set to launch a highly anticipated new validator client called Firedancer. This client has gained a lot of attention as Solana’s value rose from October 2023 to reach $210 in March 2024.
The Firedancer bug bounty program, offered by Jump Crypto and supported by Immunefi, will run for 42 days, starting from July 10 to August 21, 2024. Solana developers will have the opportunity to win up to $1 million by finding bugs in the Firedancer standalone validator client, which will be available for use starting Wednesday.
Bug reports for Firedancer v0.1 will receive a response within 24 hours. Once the program concludes, Immunefi will release a leaderboard specific to the event, as well as bug reports.
Additionally, Firedancer v0.1 will host a live technical demonstration on the Immunefi Discord a few days after its launch.
Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, has previously mentioned that Firedancer has the potential to increase the speed of the Solana network.
As of now, Solana’s price has fallen by 36% from its peak of $210 in March 2024, and it is currently trading at $133.
