Chromia, a layer 1 blockchain platform, has officially announced the upcoming launch of its mainnet.
According to a post from the official Chromia Twitter account, the mainnet is scheduled to go live in mid-July.

The main goal of Chromia’s mainnet launch is to provide support for the creation of web3 applications by integrating a SQL-like programming language into their Layer 1 blockchain.
“Launching MVP Mainnet is a significant milestone for Chromia. It’s not just a technical achievement; it marks the beginning of something we believe holds immense potential,” stated Chromia co-founder Alex Mizrahi.
Following the announcement, the price of Chromia’s native cryptocurrency, CHR, experienced a sudden surge.
