The latest disturbing news comes from Izmir, where Rıdvan Kahraman admitted to fatally shooting his wife, Fatma Kahraman, after a heated argument about their cryptocurrency investments. The incident took place in the Konak district of Izmir at approximately 22:40 on June 21.
According to reports from Sabah, Rıdvan Kahraman, 32, called his wife, 31-year-old Fatma Kahraman, who was the mother of three children, to talk after she left their home and sought refuge with her sister outside. However, the conversation took a tragic turn when Rıdvan Kahraman shot his wife three times, leading to her untimely death.
In a statement obtained by Sabah, the arrested Rıdvan Kahraman revealed the details of the argument that led to the fatal shooting. He confessed, “I took out a loan to invest in cryptocurrency and ended up losing 150 thousand liras. This led to a heated argument with my wife. I lied to her about paying off the loan and claimed we had no more debts. However, when she saw my account, she realized I was lying, and we argued again. It was during this argument that I shot and killed my wife. I deeply regret my actions.”
