The USA Passes a Pro-Bitcoin Bill: Full Support for BTC, Ban on CBDCs!
In a significant move, the state of Louisiana in the USA has officially passed a pro-Bitcoin bill. This bill aims to safeguard access to Bitcoin and restrict the use of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Additionally, Bitcoin rights have also been established as law in another state.
The pro-Bitcoin Bill 488 was signed into law by Louisiana governor Jeff Landry after receiving bipartisan approval from both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The legislation, sponsored by Representative Mark Wright and Senator Jean-Paul Coussan, aims to facilitate easy access to Bitcoin while imposing limitations on CBDCs.
Under the provisions of this new law, individuals are guaranteed the ability to securely hold their BTC, while businesses are given the freedom to transact and accept Bitcoin without any legal obstacles. Furthermore, the law explicitly prohibits the state of Louisiana from accepting payments in CBDCs. At the same time, it encourages Bitcoin mining in designated industrial areas, with the goal of attracting investment and strengthening the state’s economy.
By taking such a stance against CBDCs and promoting the adoption of Bitcoin, Louisiana is actively creating an environment that supports the growth and acceptance of digital currencies within the United States. It aims to set an example for other states to follow suit.
