Ethereum (ETH) founder Vitalik Buterin has expressed his dissatisfaction with the altcoins created by celebrities through the memetoken called MOTHER. In a recent post, Buterin responded to a comment made by former Ark Invest analyst Chris Burniske, who mentioned the altcoin called MOTHER, released by hip-hop artist Iggy Azalea. Burniske suggested that if MOTHER can gain sustainable value, it could be a game-changer for memecoins. However, Buterin disagreed, stating that he is not satisfied with the famous memecoins of this bull cycle, as they tend to only benefit celebrities and early investors. He outlined the key features that these altcoins should have, including serving a public good purpose, having fun mechanics beyond token trading, and having a long-term project with solid foundations. Meanwhile, MOTHER has seen a 17% increase in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.112.
