Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin Retweets Tweet Regarding Terra (LUNA)
In a surprising move, Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, took to Twitter to retweet a post about Terra (LUNA) that was shared before the token’s crash in 2022. Buterin’s retweet seemed to suggest that the Ethereum community had been right about LUNA all along.
The original post that Buterin retweeted was made by Ansem, a popular cryptocurrency influencer who is known for promoting memecoins like dogwifhat (WIF). In the post, shared on January 10, 2022, Ansem defended LUNA, but just a few months later, the Terra ecosystem experienced a major collapse, causing several bankruptcies in the crypto world.
After Buterin retweeted Ansem’s post, the price of LUNA saw a decrease. As of now, LUNA is trading at $0.6553, representing an 8% decline in the last 24 hours.
