Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and a prominent supporter of Dogecoin (DOGE), recently discussed XRP, Ripple’s cryptocurrency. While Musk has been vocal about his support for DOGE and even attended Donald Trump’s rallies, he remained neutral when it came to XRP.
During a rally in Pennsylvania, an attendee asked Musk about his thoughts on integrating XRP into the global financial system, considering the SEC’s negative stance on cryptocurrencies under the Biden administration. In response, Musk didn’t express support or opposition to XRP specifically, but he shared a general opinion on cryptocurrencies and their role in countering central control.
Musk stated that he is not actively involved in cryptocurrencies but finds them interesting. He believes that cryptocurrencies are valuable assets for promoting individual freedom and challenging centralized control. However, he made it clear that his views on crypto don’t necessarily indicate approval or disapproval of XRP.
Despite his neutrality towards XRP, Musk has been a strong advocate for crypto technology, particularly DOGE and Bitcoin (BTC). His companies, Tesla and SpaceX, continue to hold Bitcoin that they acquired in 2021, and they also accept Dogecoin as payment for their products.
